Vintage Weller Pottery Vase American Art Pottery Art Deco Robin's Egg Blue Ceramic Vase

1920s 1930s Zanesville Ohio pottery with pale powder blue crackle glaze, classic baluster bottle form and elegant vintage ceramic decor.

$98.00

Graceful proportions and a softly luminous blue glaze give this vintage Weller Pottery vase a quietly elegant presence. The classic baluster form combines a full rounded body with gently sloping shoulders and a long straight neck, creating a clean architectural silhouette associated with American decorative pottery of the Art Deco era. Produced by Weller Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio, the vase reflects the company's transition during the 1920s and 1930s toward streamlined production forms while retaining the distinctive glaze character prized by American art pottery collectors. Weller was one of the major Ohio art potteries and produced work spanning Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modernist design.

The glaze is a particularly appealing pale robin's egg blue with subtle blue-green variation and a fine network of age-related crazing visible across the surface. Its restrained decoration allows the shape and color to take center stage, giving the vase crossover appeal beyond Weller collectors to Art Deco interiors, blue pottery collections and vintage decor. The softly rounded profile displays beautifully on its own while the tall narrow opening also accommodates dried botanicals or a simple floral arrangement.

The vase stands approximately 9 3/4 inches tall. It remains in very good vintage condition with overall age-related glaze crazing and minor manufacturing variations. A lighter glaze area and small exposed clay area are present near the base and appear to be original firing irregularities rather than subsequent chips. The underside retains the established Weller marking. Please review the photographs closely as part of the condition description.
