Distinctive California Modern design meets Winfield Pottery's collectible Passion Flower pattern in these vintage individual ashtrays, each measuring approximately 4 inches long. Made in California during the mid-century era, the small ceramic dishes feature Winfield's sculptural teardrop form with an integrated cigarette rest, warm ivory glaze, and the delicate brown and rust-toned botanical decoration used on smaller pieces in the Passion Flower line. Their compact organic shape and understated abstract decoration capture the relaxed modern aesthetic associated with postwar California pottery.

Originally designed as individual or personal ashtrays, these versatile little Winfield pieces work beautifully for contemporary use as trinket dishes, ring or jewelry holders, small catchalls, nut dishes, olive or condiment dishes, or decorative Mid Century Modern accents. They offer crossover appeal for collectors of Winfield Pottery, California ceramics, Passion Flower dinnerware, 1950s MCM décor, vintage American tableware and retro smoking or barware accessories.

Each ashtray is sold individually through the available variations. All measure approximately 4 inches long. Two examples are impressed “Winfield USA” on the underside, while the third carries the fuller “Calif. USA / Winfield / Santa Monica” mark. The example shown on the left in the group photograph exhibits light crazing on the face; the others do not show this crazing. Please select the desired variation when ordering and review the individual photographs for condition, decoration and backstamp details.
