Vintage Stangl Country Garden Creamer #3943 Kay Hackett Mid Century Hand Painted Art Pottery

White Body 1950s floral dinnerware from Trenton New Jersey with pink flower and brown interior; collectible American pottery, replacement tableware, cottage farmhouse kitchen décor

$26.95

A cheerful hand-painted floral design and classic Stangl craftsmanship distinguish this vintage Country Garden creamer, pattern #3943, designed by Kay Hackett for Stangl Pottery of Trenton, New Jersey. Introduced in 1956, Country Garden became one of Stangl's recognizable floral dinnerware patterns, with the White Body version documented from 1956–1978. This example is clearly factory marked “Stangl Pottery Trenton N.J. Country Garden” on the underside.

The creamy white pottery body provides a bright background for the hand-painted pink blossom surrounded by light and dark green foliage, while the warm brown rim and interior provide strong contrast. Because the decoration was applied by hand, individual Country Garden pieces have the subtle variations prized by collectors of Stangl pottery and vintage American hand-painted dinnerware. Measuring just under 3¼ inches tall, approximately 4¼ inches from spout to handle, and about 3 inches across, this petite creamer is an appealing replacement piece for an existing Country Garden service as well as a colorful display piece for collectors of mid-century American pottery, vintage floral dinnerware, cottage and farmhouse tableware.

This vintage Stangl Country Garden creamer is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs observed. A previous owner added a small hand-drawn smiling face and curved line to the underside of the base, visible beside the factory markings. Because these additions are confined to the bottom, they are not visible when the creamer is upright for display.
