Vintage Red Wing Random Harvest Creamer Futura Mid Century Modern Pottery 1956–1967

Sculptural form and colorful botanical decoration make this vintage Red Wing Random Harvest creamer a distinctive example of the company’s Futura dinnerware line. Produced from 1956 through 1967, Random Harvest was one of Red Wing’s most successful Futura patterns, featuring varied brown and green leaves with small turquoise and pink flowers on a warm beige fleck background. The Red Wing Collectors Society notes that the design was intended to evoke the “color-rich beauty of the harvest season.”

This creamer features the dramatic asymmetrical Futura shape with a long sweeping spout, slender loop handle and softly tapered body. One side is decorated with a stylized rust-orange flower and olive-green leaves, while the reverse carries turquoise-blue blossoms with brown foliage, creating a different visual presentation from each side. Random Harvest was the second-best-selling pattern in the Futura line and remained in production until Red Wing closed in 1967.

The creamer presents very well overall with no chips or cracks found. A small localized raised glaze/manufacturing irregularity is visible near the upper exterior and is shown closely in the photographs. The underside is unmarked.
