Vintage Red Heart Ceramic Planter Double Sided Yellow Flowers 1950s 1960s Mid Century Valentine Florist Pottery

Bright color and wonderfully romantic mid-century styling give this vintage ceramic heart planter tremendous retro charm. Dating approximately to the 1950s–1960s, the piece features a large sculptural heart covered in rich glossy red glaze and surrounded by dimensional yellow flowers and molded green foliage. The floral decoration appears on both sides, making this a true double-sided design that displays beautifully from multiple directions.

Measuring approximately 4 3/4 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches wide, this petite vintage florist planter can hold a small floral arrangement, succulent or artificial flowers, while its dramatic heart shape makes it equally appealing displayed empty. The combination of vivid lipstick-red glaze, sunny yellow blossoms and green leaves has the cheerful decorative quality associated with postwar American florist pottery and novelty ceramics. One other thing I would preserve from the new photos is the restraint on maker attribution. The underside has a molded/recessed area but no maker's name or readable factory mark that I can substantiate, so I would leave the manufacturer unidentified rather than trying to force an attribution.
