$11.00
Original new old stock Japanese sewing notions remain highly sought after by vintage clothing restorers, costume designers, knitters, and collectors, and this complete carded set offers an increasingly difficult-to-find opportunity to acquire eight unused mid-century Streamline Washable buttons exactly as they were sold decades ago. Still mounted on their original retail display cards, the buttons are identified as Style No. 4001 in H. Pink and feature a smooth satin-matte finish, softly domed profile, and integral self-shank construction that perfectly complements dresses, blouses, sweaters, cardigans, jackets, children's clothing, and countless other period sewing projects.
Each button measures approximately 5/8 inch (Size 24) and was manufactured in Japan during the golden age of imported sewing notions, when Japanese buttons earned a reputation for consistent molding quality and vibrant color. Their striking hot pink hue captures the optimistic fashion palette of the late 1950s and 1960s while remaining versatile enough for both authentic garment restoration and modern retro-inspired sewing, knitting, quilting, and craft work.
All eight buttons remain unused and securely attached to their original Streamline Washable display cards. The buttons retain their original color and finish with no evidence of prior use. The vintage cards show expected age-related storage wear, light creasing, minor soiling, and handwritten notations on one reverse, consistent with decades of careful preservation. Complete original carded sets are becoming increasingly difficult to locate, making this an appealing acquisition for collectors of vintage sewing notions as well as anyone seeking authentic period replacement buttons.
