The bracelet is marked only “Sterling Mexico,” an export mark associated with Mexican silver produced before the widespread adoption of the Eagle assay system beginning in the late 1940s. Its early mark, substantial construction, individually hinged links, and extensive hand-applied decoration place it within the important period when Mexican silversmiths were establishing the international reputation of the country’s artisan silver industry.

Three broad, domed sterling panels form the centerpiece of the design, each set with a rounded purple amethyst cabochon in a substantial smooth bezel. The stones show natural variations in color and internal character, giving each panel its own appearance while maintaining a beautifully coordinated composition. Flowing hand-engraved leaves sweep across the silver surfaces, while applied wire scrolls form graceful heart-like motifs around the amethysts.
