Striking hand-painted graphics and an unusually long sculptural form make this vintage LEE of Hawaii ceramic ashtray a standout example of collectible Hawaiian decorative pottery. Measuring approximately 15½ inches long, the elongated surfboard or canoe-like vessel is covered across its interior with an intricate black geometric design of diagonal stripes, curved bands, scalloped forms, grids and angular motifs against a warm creamy white ground.
