Vintage Hazel Atlas Ribbon Green Depression Glass Footed Sauce Bowls Set of 4 1930s

Beautiful emerald-green color and crisp geometric molding distinguish this set of four vintage Hazel-Atlas Ribbon footed sauce bowls from the early Depression glass era. Introduced around 1930, the Ribbon pattern features elongated raised vertical panels encircling the bowl, paired here with short pedestal stems and striking radiating sunburst feet. The clean repetition of the molded design gives these small dishes the streamlined Art Deco character prized by collectors of Hazel-Atlas and American Depression glass. Hazel-Atlas Ribbon is documented as an early 1930s pattern produced in green and several other colors.

Each footed sauce bowl measures approximately 2¾ inches tall with a rim diameter of about 3½ inches. Although identified as footed sauce bowls in period Depression glass reference terminology, their versatile size makes them equally useful today as individual sherbet or ice cream dishes, dessert cups, fruit bowls, condiment or sauce dishes, or small serving bowls. All four are being sold together as one matched set. These particular glasses have been tested under black light and do not fluoresce, so they are not being represented as uranium glass.

The rims of all four pieces are free of chips, cracks and flea bites. Two of the four have small irregular areas along one side of their feet near the molded seams. Their placement and appearance may be consistent with irregularities from the pressed-glass manufacturing process, but because it cannot be determined conclusively whether they are factory-made or small edge losses, both areas are clearly shown in the close-up photographs. The set otherwise presents beautifully, with the vivid green glass, Ribbon pattern and distinctive sunburst feet creating a wonderful display for a Depression glass collection, vintage kitchen or colorful Art Deco table setting.
