Vintage Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace Signed Martin Modernist Studio Jewelry Geometric Mosaic Inlay

Sculptural geometry and vivid mosaic inlay give this signed sterling silver pendant necklace the unmistakable character of individually made studio jewelry. The shield-shaped pendant is constructed in dimensional layers, combining hand-textured silver, applied geometric elements and sharply defined panels of cobalt and royal blue, purple-red, salmon and luminous pale inlay. A raised semicircular section articulates above the main pendant, while the projecting central panel and asymmetrical silverwork create striking depth from every angle. The result is a distinctive Modernist composition with architectural and subtly Brutalist influence.

The reverse is hand-marked STERLING and MARTIN beside a small pictorial maker's mark. Research has not produced a reliable identification of the Martin represented by this signature, so no specific artist or workshop attribution is being made. The pendant hangs directly from a fine box-style chain separately marked 925 ITALY and G.W.
