Vintage Franciscan Hacienda Gold Creamer and Single Shaker 1960s 1970s California Pottery USA

Warm earthy color and a handcrafted-inspired form give this vintage Franciscan Hacienda Gold creamer and coordinating single shaker the unmistakable character of 1960s and 1970s California dinnerware. Introduced in 1965, Hacienda Gold combines a softly speckled ivory ground with mustard gold accents and a distinctive geometric border, creating the rustic modern look that made Franciscan earthenware a favorite of the period. The pattern remained in U.S. production through 1983 and is now sought by Franciscan collectors, Mid Century Modern enthusiasts, and buyers assembling or replacing pieces from an original Hacienda Gold service.

The larger piece is the Hacienda Gold creamer, with a gently tapered body, subtle horizontal throwing-style rings, curved handle and shaped pouring spout. Its lower body is finished in mustard gold and encircled by the pattern's fine geometric border. The underside carries the blue Franciscan Earthenware trademark, “Made in U.S.A.,” and the visible 36-73 designation. Accompanying it is a coordinating approximately 2¼-inch shaker with the same speckled ivory body and a mustard gold concentric-ring top. Together they make an appealing small serving grouping while also offering useful replacement pieces for an existing Hacienda Gold collection. The documented Franciscan creamer is approximately 4¼ inches high and has a 14-ounce capacity.

One spot appears just inside on the creamer's rim that appears to be missing some glaze as it was not rough to my touch, so I leave the assessment with you. The shaker is missing its bottom plug and has some small chips around the hole, as shown in the photographs.
