Authentic early American cast iron still banks have remained enduring favorites with collectors for more than a century, and this antique A.C. Williams standing pig is an outstanding example of the company's classic animal bank designs. Dating to approximately 1920, the bank retains its original cream-colored paint with pink accents on the ears, snout, and hooves, creating the warm, timeworn appearance that collectors expect from genuine early cast iron toys. The realistically sculpted pig, long coin slot across the back, and substantial cast iron construction give the piece exceptional shelf presence whether displayed in an antique still bank collection, country store setting, farmhouse interior, or Americana display.

The bank is cast in two matching halves secured by its original-style side-mounted flat-head screw, allowing coins to be removed as originally intended. The interior displays the expected unfinished casting surfaces, while the right rear quarter is marked with the desirable Mold No. 39 casting designation used during manufacture. Measuring approximately 5½ inches tall, this antique bank has remained in my family since the original purchase, adding documented family provenance to an already collectible piece.

Condition is very good antique condition with honest age-related paint loss, scattered chips, surface wear, scuffs, and a naturally developed patina consistent with more than a century of age. No repainting or repairs were found, the two cast halves separate properly for coin removal, and the fastening screw remains in place.
