Vintage Art Deco Happy Birthday Brother Greeting Card Ribbon Bound Original Envelope Glassine Sleeve Unused
Beautifully preserved Art Deco birthday card for a brother with original envelope and glassine sleeve from a long-preserved salesman's sample collection.
$32.95
Celebrate a brother's birthday with this charming vintage Art Deco greeting card featuring a colorful butterfly resting among stylized wildflowers, framed by a soft blue cover and finished with an elegant pink ribbon binding. The coordinated blue envelope and original protective glassine sleeve remain with the card, an increasingly uncommon combination that speaks to its careful preservation over the decades.
This unused greeting card measures approximately 5 inches by 4 inches and opens to reveal the printed verse: "Many Happy Birthdays, Brother, Is my good wish for you, And just as many happy years Between the birthdays too!" The interior is clean with no writing, inscriptions, or postal use. The ribbon binding remains intact, preserving the card's original presentation.
This example comes from a long-preserved salesman's sample collection that also included premium greeting cards by makers such as Buzza and other high-quality publishers of the period. Although this card is unmarked, its quality of construction, coordinated envelope, original glassine sleeve, and refined Art Deco design are consistent with better-grade greeting cards sold through stationers during the late 1920s and 1930s.
Condition is very good vintage. The card remains unused and retains its original ribbon, matching envelope, and original glassine sleeve. The envelope flap was lightly adhered from age and sustained a small tear when carefully opened for inspection. The card itself presents beautifully with only light age-related handling wear.
