Vintage 1970s United Airlines Future Flight Attendant Junior Wings Pin

Stoffel Seals child passenger giveaway badge with red white blue United logo, collectible stewardess wings, aviation memorabilia, airline ephemera, commercial aviation history and nostalgic travel souvenir

$24.00

A wonderful piece of mid-1970s United Airlines memorabilia, this “Future Flight Attendant” junior wings pin was created as a children's passenger giveaway during an era when airlines presented young travelers with their own crew-style wings. The gold-tone badge features outstretched dimensional wings surrounding a red, white and blue United emblem, with UNITED across the center and “FUTURE FLIGHT ATTENDANT” displayed below. This design is documented in the SFO Museum aviation collection as dating to the mid-1970s, providing particularly useful period identification for collectors of vintage airline and commercial aviation memorabilia.

The reverse is marked “STOFFEL SEALS, TUCKAHOE N.Y., PAT. NO. 3,282,223” along with the number “6.” The original pin mechanism remains intact, including its plastic C-style catch, and is functioning properly. United children's wings were produced in different designs as the airline's branding evolved, making this earlier red, white and blue version an appealing survivor for collectors of United Airlines history, junior airline wings, flight attendant and stewardess memorabilia, aviation badges, transportation collectibles and airline ephemera.

The pin measures approximately 2 5/8 inches wide by 7/8 inch tall and remains in very nice vintage condition with expected minor surface wear from age. The colored United details remain attractive and clearly visible, while the original fastening mechanism is intact and functional. A nostalgic piece of 1970s air travel history that would make an excellent addition to a collection of vintage airline memorabilia, United Airlines collectibles, aviation ephemera or historic commercial aviation souvenirs.
