Cheerful hand-painted flowers and a softly scalloped edge give this vintage Blue Ridge Pottery serving plate the colorful character that has made Southern Potteries dinnerware so collectible. This large round platter is the Laura pattern, a documented Blue Ridge Southern Pottery design featuring pink floral decoration, and the underside retains the original Southern Potteries Blue Ridge backstamp. Replacements specifically catalogs a Chop Plate, or round platter, as part of the discontinued Laura dinnerware line.

Measuring approximately 11½ inches in diameter, this substantial chop plate or round serving platter is individually hand decorated with sweeping brown stems, green leaves, yellow accents, and vivid pink-red flowers against a creamy white ground. The flowing brushwork and varied flower forms give the plate the handmade individuality associated with Blue Ridge pottery.
