Sculptural curves and dramatic flame-like points give these vintage Francisco Rebajes copper earrings exceptional mid-century modernist presence. Created in Rebajes' signature copper, each earring features an open oval form that sweeps upward into a layered arrangement of pointed, leaf-like elements, creating a design often described by collectors and sellers as the "Flame" pattern. Fine incised detailing along the copper surfaces adds texture and emphasizes the flowing movement of the design.

The earrings have classic screw-back closures and measure approximately 1 5/16 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. Each earring is unusually well marked, with the REBAJES name appearing on the earring itself as well as on the screw-back hardware, providing strong maker identification.

The copper retains a warm vintage patina with expected surface wear and oxidation consistent with age and previous use. They have not been polished, preserving the character of the original vintage surface. Please review the photographs closely for condition and patina.

Francisco Rebajes was an important figure in American modernist jewelry, best known for transforming copper into expressive sculptural forms during the height of the mid-century studio jewelry movement. These signed earrings are a particularly dynamic example of his organic modernist aesthetic and would appeal to collectors of Rebajes jewelry, vintage copper jewelry, American studio jewelry, and mid-century modern design.
