$109.00

Dramatic sculptural form and spectacular multicolor glaze define this vintage Royal Haeger by Royal Hickman double nautilus vase, an outstanding example of American art pottery from the Mid Century Modern era. The design features two large opposing nautilus shells rising in a sweeping symmetrical composition, each modeled with deeply ribbed shell walls and a pronounced spiral center. Smaller shell and marine-inspired forms cluster around the base, reinforcing the oceanic theme and giving the piece remarkable dimensional presence from every angle.

The glaze is especially striking, with a rich coral-pink ground flowing into turquoise, aqua, sea green, soft blue and touches of deeper cobalt across the raised shell details. The glossy color transitions emphasize the sculpted ribs and spirals and give the vase an almost iridescent underwater quality. At approximately 10 inches wide, the piece has substantial visual impact and works beautifully as a centerpiece, console display, mantel accent or collectible art pottery statement. It has strong crossover appeal for collectors of Royal Haeger, Royal Hickman, Mid Century Modern ceramics, vintage seashell decor, coastal design, biomorphic pottery and Hollywood Regency interiors.

The underside is molded “ROYAL HAEGER BY ROYAL HICKMAN U.S.A.” Measures approximately 6 1/2 inches tall and 10 inches wide. Three very small chips are present along the base, as shown in the photographs; no other damage was noted. The vivid original glaze remains the dominant visual feature of this exceptional double nautilus form.
