Antique Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver Bar Pin Botanical Design Handcrafted Floral Brooch C Clasp 2 Inch
$84.00
Quiet elegance and handcrafted artistry define this authentic antique Arts & Crafts sterling silver bar pin, a beautifully understated example of early twentieth-century design. Rather than relying on elaborate ornamentation, the maker created visual interest through richly hand-chased botanical decoration featuring stylized leaves and seed pods flowing across a finely textured background. The softly oxidized finish enhances the depth of the chased design and gives the brooch the mellow character collectors appreciate in genuine Arts & Crafts jewelry.
The long, slender rectangular form makes this brooch exceptionally versatile, equally at home on a lapel, collar, scarf, tie, sweater, or hat. Its restrained design reflects the Arts & Crafts philosophy of honest craftsmanship and inspiration drawn from nature, allowing the carefully executed botanical motif to become the focal point without unnecessary embellishment.
The reverse is clearly marked STERLING and retains its original early C-clasp, a desirable period feature that supports an early twentieth-century date. Measuring approximately 2 inches long by 5/16 inch tall, the brooch remains in very good antique condition with an attractive natural patina and a gentle age-related bow visible from the side, consistent with decades of careful wear. The reverse remains smooth, further supporting the hand-chased construction. I have intentionally left the silver unpolished so the new owner may choose whether to preserve its antique patina or brighten the finish.
An excellent addition for collectors of Arts & Crafts jewelry, antique sterling silver brooches, handcrafted botanical jewelry, Edwardian accessories, and early twentieth-century studio metalwork.
